adore Co., Ltd. was established in 2020 as a group company of one of Japan's leading insect trap OEM manufacturers.

For more than 10 years, we have manufactured insect traps under OEM contract for Japan's three leading hygiene management manufacturers. Our proven product quality has been well demonstrated at manufacturing sites across Japan, including in the food industry, where strict hygiene control is essential.

BLUE SPIDER is an ultra-high-performance insect trap developed for the global market, bringing together all the expertise we have cultivated. Through the widespread adoption of our ultra-high-performance insect traps, we will continue working to improve hygiene environments worldwide and contribute to human health and longevity.

Product Development Story

With the mission of "contributing to improved hygiene environments worldwide,"
we began developing Japan's first ultra-high-performance insect trap

For more than 10 years, our company has been an OEM manufacturer producing insect traps for Japan's three leading hygiene manufacturers. We have developed insect traps for a wide range of applications, mainly for major manufacturers requiring the highest levels of quality control, providing contracted support from design through manufacturing and installation.
In addition to insect traps, we also carry out highly complex product development and manufacturing in which electrical and metal components intricately interact — from control panels and kitchen equipment to semiconductor device components — on parallel production lines. This has given us a proven track record and advanced technical capabilities as an OEM manufacturing partner for major manufacturers across industries.

In the field of insect traps in particular, we take pride in having cutting-edge expertise. We had long been considering how we might use the technology we had cultivated to make a social contribution to countries and companies around the world struggling with hygiene issues. It was during this time that Osaka was chosen to host the Kansai Expo, which became the catalyst for us to set our mission of "contributing to improved hygiene environments worldwide" and begin developing Japan's first ultra-high-performance insect trap.

Succeeding in Developing an Insect Trap with Overwhelming Performance
We succeeded in developing an ultra-high-performance insect trap for use worldwide, boasting approximately twice the trapping capacity of conventional models
(*Compared to our previous products)

We began by thoroughly examining the strengths and weaknesses of conventional insect traps, starting with a review of size and design. What we found was that most simple, stationary insect traps were only around 80cm in height (width), and many users told us they simply felt trapping performance wasn't sufficient.

We concluded that to achieve an "ultra-high-performance insect trap with overwhelming trapping capacity," we needed to break free from convention — there was no need for the unit to stay around 80cm tall. We began by roughly doubling the overall height of the trap to approximately 150cm, adopting our own unique "vertical layout," and at the same time developed our "transmitted-light luring system" (*patent pending).

This transmitted-light luring system, built around the vertical layout, is not only tall but also features a rear shield case made using highly advanced sheet-metal processing. We calculated the wide-angle pattern of LED (UV) light spreading across a broad vertical range of space, together with the flight tendencies of various insect pests, and used this to design and fine-tune precise, independently calculated angles that maximize the trap's luring ability and trapping performance.
The capture area also uses a specially designed, ultra-strong adhesive sheet with proprietary processing, enabling it to hold large numbers of attracted insects and achieve approximately twice the trapping performance of conventional products.(*Based on comparative demonstration tests against conventional products)

For the LED (UV) light, we use a high-performance UV-LED lamp with a long service life of over approximately 20,000 hours. The special clear adhesive sheet, which delivers extremely powerful trapping capability, uses no chemical agents, ensuring safety with no harmful effects on the human body. In addition, BLUE SPIDER underwent safety testing by a third-party organization during development, ensuring product safety, reliability, and objectivity. Its design completely eliminates the risks of abnormal heat generation, electrical leakage, and electric shock, achieving the same high level of quality assurance as Japan's three leading hygiene manufacturers.(*PSE (Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law) certification obtained)

Our Overwhelming Trapping Performance Recognized and Adopted at the Osaka-Kansai Expo
"BLUE SPIDER," the ultra-high-performance insect trap we developed, had its overwhelming
trapping performance recognized and was adopted at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, where we were also invited to exhibit

We had long felt a strong affinity for the theme set out at the Osaka-Kansai Expo's Healthcare Pavilion, "Aiming to Realize a Healthy Life Expectancy." With 158 countries participating, we felt that this Expo in Osaka — likely a once-in-a-lifetime event for us — was an opportunity to make some kind of contribution. It was during this time that, through a personal connection, the fact that we had successfully developed an ultra-high-performance insect trap became known, and our capabilities were recognized. We were honored to have our product adopted at the Healthcare Pavilion of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

Specifically, our insect trap BLUE SPIDER has been installed at the aquaponics facility (a circular agriculture system) in front of the Healthcare Pavilion, as well as at other pavilions. Thanks to this connection, we were also given the opportunity to exhibit at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

Another reason was our belief that an easy-to-install, ultra-high-performance insect trap could help countries around the world facing inadequate hygiene conditions — that by contributing to improved hygiene environments, it could help improve food safety and facility spaces worldwide, contribute to human health, and ultimately lead to a longer "healthy life expectancy." I had long hoped to "develop an ultra-high-performance insect trap that anyone could easily install, and contribute to improving hygiene environments around the world." That aspiration remains unchanged today.

Exhibiting at this Expo was, we believe, an extremely important opportunity to embody our vision of "delivering a high-performance insect trap made in Japan to the world." We also had a strong desire to promote this product to the world as an "ultra-high-performance insect trap made in Japan." We are truly proud to have shared our insect trap and its social significance on the international stage of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
